This is the second book in a series and as such there may be spoilers for Chimera in this review. You can find the review of the first book here.

Summary: Hours after Silver and Cass almost die from being stabbed with a screwdriver they find themselves on another world to learn about being a weaver. However their reception is less than welcoming. Not even day two before they’re neck deep in Axsian politics and family drama.
Review: This book right here is the exact reason why I accept that most first books in series are like the pilot of a series. Even though I loved the first book in this series Changeling went at a much quicker pace. I think I finished it in just a couple of hours. I just couldn’t put it down.
I loved how the Vaun Murphrey created a race that was similar to humanity in the vaguest ways, but it makes you wonder if Kal was really the first Axsian to break the rules when it came to earth. You can see it when you look at their language, but it’s also in something as small as characters waving to one another in greeting.
I will say that I was a little surprised that Silver let Kara get away with not contacting her. She is usually a force to be reckoned with. Instead she felt much more reserved while on Axsa. I guess she may have been a little distracted by the whole Bindao thing, but they were there for at least four years. I guess I am being a little hard on them both. I forget sometimes that the twins were only 13 in the first story and are only eighteen at the end of the second book. They just seem so much older sometimes.
I can’t say enough how much I loved this book. The things I loved most were the things that surprised me. As much as I would love to share them I don’t want to ruin the experience for potential readers. I can’t stress this enough, READ THIS SERIES. I have devoured the books so far.

Rating: 5 out of 5 quills.

Also, later in the week I’ll be posting an interview with the author, Vaun Murphrey!
